FINDINGS
Graph 1 - Graduation: Trends for All UCB Freshman Students
> The fourth year graduation rate has remained between 42 and 47 percent, and is at 45.7% for the 1995 cohort
> Fifth and sixth year graduation rates have been 73% to 76% and 80 to 83% respectively
Graph 2 - Graduation:  Differences Among UCB Gender and Ethnic Groups (1995 Cohort)
> Female students consistently graduate at a rate 7% to 10% higher than males in the fourth, fifth and sixth years
> Black students have the lowest graduation rate of all ethnic groups (21% in the fourth year, 54% in the fifth year and 66% in the sixth year)
> Native Americans and Hispanics have very similar rates, with Hispanics graduating at a slightly higher rate by the sixth year
> White students graduate just above the overall average rate in each of the three years (44%, 78% and 83%)
> Asian students consistently graduate  above the average rate in each of the three years (53%, 83% and 89%)

> Only three institutions have higher fourth-year graduation rates for all students, male students and female students than UCB
> One peer has a significantly higher overall fourth year graduation rate (80.9%) than all others; the second is 60.8%; UCB is 44.0%

> Fourth year graduation rates at UCB are near average for all ethnic groups, though the range among peers is very large (5.3% to 88.5%)

> UCB's fifth year graduation rates are the third highest for all undergrads and for each gender (76.0%, 72.5% and 79.8%)

> Native and Black students at UCB have lower graduation rates in the fifth year than other ethnic groups (55.6% and 45.1%)
> Asian students at UCB have a higher fifth year graduation rate (83.2%) than at any peer except one

> UCB's sixth year graduation rates are second highest of the peers for all undergrads (82.5%) and females (85.1%); males are at 80.2%

> UCB's sixth year graduation rates are second highest for Asian, Hispanic and White students (88.2%, 73.0% and 84.6%)
> UCB Native and Black students' sixth year graduation rates are near the group average (61.1% and 55.8%) though well above some peers
